Arne Gabius fourth top-10 finish in Frankfurt

In cold and windy conditions, Arne Gabius showed a strong performance to finish ninth in a high-quality field. Arne went through the first half just under 65min and was on sub 2:10 pace, but windy conditions especially on the 2nd half of the course slowed down the field. In the end Arne crossed the line in 2:11:45, which is the fastest time by a German in 2018. It was also the 4th time that Arne finished within the top-10 in Frankfurt.

13.934 runners from 102 countries took part in the 2018 Frankfurt Marathon and taking into account participants in the various parallel events, 26.826 were competing in total. The Frankfurt Marathon is an IAAF Gold Label race, which is the highest category in international road running.
