Ritz finishes as Top American at Boston Marathon
In his first appearance at the Boston Marathon, Ritzenhein was the top American finisher.
After losing contact with the leaders shortly after halfway, Ritzenhein rejoined them in the Newton Hills and took the lead several times.
At the end Ritzenhein ended up finishing 7th in 2:11:20, while defending champion Meb Keflezighi finished one place behind him.
