Nina Kennedy jumps a new Australian Record
Australian pole vaulter Nina Kennedy set a new Australian pole vault record of 4.82m at Sydney Track Classic.
After several attempts over the 4.82m this season, Nina finally cleared the height straight away, which is also a new Outdoor World Lead in 2021. In December Nina jumped the Olympic qualifier of 4.70m and has improved by 12 centimeters since.
Nina Said: “I have attempted it 5 or 6 times this season, so just to nail it on my first attempt I’m so happy. Most comps we went from 4.70 to Australian Record of 4.82m so I am just happy it is done and I got it tonight.”
