Mo Ahmed smashes Canadian 5k Record at Pre Classic

Mohammed Ahmed impressed with a record breaking run over the 5,000m at the Diamond League meeting in Eugene.

Ahmed continued his 5,000 meter success, breaking his own Canadian Record of 13:10min from last summer. Leading the pack with 300m to go, Ahmed put himself in a great position and finished third with a time of 13:01.74min. Kenya’s Kamworor finished second in 12:59.98s, behind Ethopia’s Edris, who won with a new world leading time of 12:59.96s.
