Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie win Stockholm Diamond League
The British runners Laura Muir and Jemma Reekie can be very proud of their results after a successful weekend.
Both secured their victories at the Stockholm Diamond League Meeting. Reekie, the double under-23 European champion, ran the 800 metres in 1:59.68 minutes and finished first in a fast women’s 800 meters race. That meant her fourth victory in one of her best track seasons. Her housemate and friend Laura Muir showed a great performance at the 1500 meters, the European champion Muir stayed up with the two pacemakers before sprinting away from the field in the final 200m to take the victory in 3:57.87 minutes.
