Kevin Kranz equals the 60m national indoor record
The German sprinter Kevin Kranz showed his strong form last weekend at the German championships in Dortmund.
With a new best time of 6.52 sec he also equalled the national indoor record with 6.52 sec (6.55 in heat) to win the 60m final ahead of Julian Wagner and Michael Pohl. His time means second place of the current world indoor best list. In the women’s 60m final Yasmin Kwadwo convinced with the third place, a new personal best of 7.19 sec and the European indoor standard.
The 3000m runner Hanna Klein was also able to secure the German championship title in a season best of 8:54.37 min, in the men’s 3000m Marcel Fehr won the silver medal in a time of 8:10.59 min. Marc Reuther finished third in a time of 1:48.70 min in the men’s 800m race.
