Chris Derrick wins U.S. Half Marathon Championships
Chris Derrick’s win marked his first national title since winning three straight USATF XC titles in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
Parker Stinson led the entirety of the race, as Derrick and reigning USATF XC champion Leonard Korir of the U.S. Army followed closely behind. Derrick waited until the final mile to make his move and was able to hold off Stinson by a single second, 1:02:37 to 1:02:38.
