Kevin Kranz equals the 60m national indoor record

The German sprinter Kevin Kranz showed his strong form last weekend at the German Indoor championships in Dortmund.

With a new personal best of 6.52sec he also equalled the 60m national indoor record in order to win the 60m final ahead of Julian Wagner and Michael Pohl. His new PB is also the 2nd fastest time in the world in 2021, behind American Bromell.

In the women’s 60m final Yasmin Kwadwo set a new personal best of  7.19 sec to finish 3rd.

3000m runner Hanna Klein also secured the German championship title in a season best of 8:54.37 min, in the men’s 3000m Marcel Fehr won silver in a tactical race, while Marc Reuther finished 3rd in the men’s 800m.
