Jemma Reekie breaks the British indoor 1500m and Mile record

After setting the first indoor record a week ago, two more followed this weekend at Millrose Games in NewYork. The double European under-23 champion ran a 4:17.88 and finished third in a fast women’s mile. Her 1500m split time was 4:00.52 on the way to the finish. Reekie confirmed her strong form on this weekend and is getting more and more confident, she said “I’m getting more confident. I tell myself, you deserve to be on this start line. I’m not a junior any more, I’m not an under-23 any more, I need to step up to be a senior.”
